Merrimac Group, Inc. firmly believes that affordable housing alternatives and services for seniors are among the most important of every community’s assets. We believe that the greatest need for such housing and services lies in rural America, where, if we consider demographics, the population tends to be “older” when compared to more urban areas.

Contrary to some in the assisted living industry, we believe that so-called “small to medium” projects work well economically. This is particularly true when they are strategically aligned with, owned, or operated by the local community hospital, community development organization or smaller scale private developers.

We think that assisted living and independent senior housing are a basic part of the care continuum in any community. Such options for seniors and their families are complimentary to skilled nursing, home health, and other senior services. Our efforts build community resources and support those that already exist.

Merrimac is, at the core, the owner’s representative from the very beginning of the project to the successful completion of the effort, providing stability, leadership, continuity, and valuable experience.
